Availability

Three $5,000 scholarships

Eligibility

• Must be enrolled in one of these three programs: Northern Arizona University's concurrent nursing program with Coconino Community College, NAU's American Indian Program for nursing, or NAU's Flagstaff campus nursing program. Proof of enrollment is required.
• Scholarship funds are for the 2023-2024 academic year and should only be used for tuition, course books, or other academic expenses.
• Applicants may only receive one scholarship per year from Health First Foundation. Scholarships are awarded annually and are non-renewable.

Essay Topic

Please explain how advancing your education will contribute to one of these areas of need in northern Arizona:

• Preventing, reducing, or mitigating chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, respiratory conditions, dental disease, and cancer
  
• Improving behavioral and mental health
• Improving access to quality health care, including preventative care and screening services

Essay Format

• A maximum of one typed page in length
  
• 1-inch margin on all sides
  
• 11-point font, double spaced lines
  
• Do not title or name your essay
  
• Do not provide your name or identifying information in the essay
  
• Save essay as a PDF to upload as part of your application
