Our funding emphasizes health promotion and encourages innovation and collaboration.
Health First grants drive progress toward improving the health of individuals and communities in northern Arizona. We place a strong emphasis on sustained solutions and promoting healthy lifestyles, prioritizing initiatives to enhance and maintain overall health and well-being.
Through an annual competitive grant cycle we fund programs that address priority health needs in our region: improving mental health, preventing and managing chronic disease, and expanding access to health care services. Health First Foundation invests in programs that address these health priorities while keeping in mind the impact that social factors — like education, community environments that support healthy lifestyles, social support systems, convenient and affordable access to healthcare services, and financial stability — have on health and well-being in our communities. We seek to fund sustainable, innovative solutions that enhance overall health and well-being. Our grant opportunities are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with programs serving people in one or more northern Arizona counties: Apache, Coconino, Mohave, Navajo, and Yavapai.
From their charitable funds and makes distributions to qualified nonprofit organizations. These grants are separate from our annual competitive grant cycle, and there is not an application process.
