The focus of this year's cycle is on northern Arizona's adolescents priority health needs.
We seek to fund programs that support initiatives or educational programs that enhance the health and well-being of babies and youth (from birth to 18 years old) by addressing key areas of health access, behavioral or mental health, mitigating chronic conditions. Projects should focus on improving equitable access to healthcare services, promoting healthy behaviors, supporting mental health, managing chronic conditions, and addressing factors such as housing, education, or community resources that influence overall health outcomes for young people.
This purpose emphasizes a comprehensive approach to supporting youth by focusing on the various health factors that contribute to their well-being
Applicant organizations and their proposed programs must meet eligibility requirements.
The program/project must support Health First Foundation's mission and vision.
Organizations are an Arizona 501(c)(3), government agency, school, university, municipality, or tribal entity.
Organizations serve populations in one or more of the five counties within northern Arizona: Apache County, Coconino County, Mohave County, Navajo County, Yavapai County
The Foundation will not fund programs we have previously funded.
We seek to fund projects that involve collaborations and partnerships with other organizations. We prefer programs/projects of significant magnitude and impact with funding requests of $50,000 or more. Innovative projects requesting less than $50,000 may be considered.
Organizations must maintain an active non-discrimination policy.
One letter of intent per each qualified organization will be accepted.

The letter of intent (LOI) submission period is now open. LOIs must be submitted by January 31, 2025 at 5:00 pm.
The grant process begins with interested organizations submitting an LOI. The Foundation will accept LOIs now through January 31, 2025, at 5:00 pm. The LOI should be no longer than two pages, typed, and using a minimum of 12-point font, moderate margins, and on the organizations letterhead.

We recommend avoiding industry acronyms that may not be familiar to our reviewers of letters of intent and grant applications. Reviewers prioritize clarity, and using widely recognized terms enhances the likelihood of a higher score for your organization's letter of intent or application.
