Richard (Dick) Kruse was instrumental in the establishment of the Foundation, and is an original member of its Board of Directors. His relevant board experience includes Hamline University in Minnesota, the North Side Chamber of Commerce in Minneapolis, Sedona Community Foundation and several other nonprofit organizations. He also served on the STEM Education Coalition. Dick has served as a staff advisor to the boards of more than 20 for-profit companies.

His past business experience includes founding Financial Concepts, Inc., an employee benefits and executive compensation firm in Minneapolis. Currently, Dick is the chief investment analyst of NFP, providing services to corporate retirement plans and executive compensation arrangements. He is a founding shareholder and chairman of the board of Rock Properties, LLC, a commercial property investment company in McDonough, Georgia. He is a founding shareholder of eSedona Wireless.

Dick's professional memberships include the American Economic Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Society of Financial Services Professionals.

Dick is a Vietnam veteran and a life member of the Cottonwood VFW, American Legion, and Marine Corps League. Dick and his wife Becky make their home in Sedona.
